Thanks to the financial support and personal commitment of Melissa & John Gargani the Academic U program has been established in an effort to further develop the men of Triangle Fraternity by improving its members’ overall academic performance.
Academic U will serve as one of four tracks at the Regional Leadership Conferences, in which chapter scholarship chairs and committee members will be encouraged to attend.
The Triangle Education Foundation with the generous support of the Kahlert Foundation will be recognizing chapter’s academic achievements annually in two categories: Outstanding Academic Excellence, and Most Improved Academic Excellence.
Chapters will be awarded annually at National Convention or at Herb Scobie Leadership School based on the academic data that is submitted to the National Fraternity Headquarter Staff.
The Education Foundation is offering $65,000 in scholarships. The application deadline for scholarships has past. Brothers who applied for financial aid will learn about their scholarship status in May 2014. To learn more about available scholarships and when you will be able to apply visit the Triangle Education Foundation website at www.triangleef.org or click here.
With the start of a new year academic year upon us, it’s important to double check the range of majors your chapter may extend a bid to. To view the full list of your chapter/colony’s “acceptable majors” view the Approved Courses PDF above.
