Start a New Chapter
If you are interested in starting a chapter of Triangle, the following steps will lead you to success:
- Download and complete the Interest Group Contact Form (below) and return it to Gary Ballinger at Triangle Fraternity via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Include in your email the individual who will serve as the main point of contact between the Interest Group and Triangle Fraternity.
- If the college or university is receptive to the idea, download the New Chapter Expansion document (below) and review it carefully. Triangle Fraternity recognizes two levels of new groups: Colony and Chapter. A Colony contains at least 20 men who upon formation begin the process of New Member Education and creating the foundation for a successful Chapter. Once the group has reached the average Triangle Fraternity chapter size and formed a healthy, sustainable student organization, the Colony is encouraged to petition Triangle Fraternity’s National Council for Chapterhood.
- Once the group reaches 20 men, a Triangle staff member or national volunteer will arrange for a campus visit to work with the group and determine if recognizing the Colony is the right choice.
