On September 10, 2011 eight men were initially tapped as the founding fathers of the Virginia Commonwealth University interest group. The VCU Interest Group initiated its alpha class which included its founding members along with the two following pledge classes at the Penn State University Chapter on January 12, 2013. The VCU Interest Group submitted its petition for colonization, which was granted the month of October 2012. Once the group obtained colony status it proceeded to participate in performing initiation for its newest members by three different host chapters: Penn State University, University of Pittsburgh and the latest University of Kentucky. On Saturday, April 11, 2015 the Director of Leadership Programs Ariel Tarosky presented the charter to the thirty-three man chapter.
