2017 Convention Questions
I have been selected as one of my Active Organization’s Undergraduate or Alumnus Voting Delegate, how do I register?
On the 2017 National Convention Registration page click the “register here” button at the bottom of the page which will direct you to the registration page. One the registration page follow the instructions under the section header titled “Voting Delegate Registration Process.”
Voting delegates have a responsibility of $30.00. You may use your credit or debit card for payment upon checkout. This fee includes convention materials, sessions, meals, and a double-hotel room. Should you want to upgrade to a single hotel room you can select that in package add-on’s. If you register after June 26, 2017 you will need to contact Rhonda Halcomb at firstname.lastname@example.org to make alternative hotel accommodations, as the Triangle room block has closed.
How many registration spots has my chapter been pre-billed for? When was my chapter billed?
Each active chapter has been billed for two Undergraduate Voting Delegates and a single Alumnus Voting Delegate. Your chapter submitted payment for National Convention as part of the semesterly National Active Fee. Please remember that you are still responsible for a $30.00 fee to cover additional costs.
I am a voting delegate but would like to extend my stay at the hotel outside of the pre-billed dates, can I do so? How?
While the National Convention Fee covers the cost of voting delegates registration and a double-room hotel from the afternoon of July 19 to the morning of July 23, it does not cover extended hotel stays.
If you choose to extend your stay, then book your hotel for ONLY the extended dates. After booking, please notify Rhonda Halcomb at (317) 837-9640 or email email@example.com with your hotel confirmation information so that we may tie your extended booking and the pre-booked convention hotel room together. Failure to do so may result in individuals having to check out and check in multiple times during a single stay.
I am a voting delegate planning to bring my spouse or a guest. How can I register them?
If you are bringing a spouse/guest you will select this option in the package add-on’s. There is a $150.00 fee for this addition. This fee will cover convention sessions (with the exception of business sessions and Ritual discussions), meals, and a spouse care package.
Please remember that if you are a voting delegate your registration fee covers a double-room. If you want to upgrade to a single you will need to select that in the package add-on’s as well.
I am planning to bring my children, how should I register them?

I am an alumnus who is only planning to attend part of convention, can I do this without paying the full $425.00?
We have a weekend package option available for any alumnus interested in only attending part of convention. This package is $175.00 and covers convention materials, all sessions and meals on Saturday, July 22, 2017. You can select this as your registration type on the registration page.
If you are interested in participating in the Friday excursions you can select this in package add-on’s.
You will need to make your own hotel accommodations if you are selected the weekend-package.
Are there travel scholarships for attendees?
No, there are not. All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to/from Phoenix, Arizona.
Do I have to participate in the excursions on Friday?
While we would love for you to join us, you are not required to! You are more than welcomed to stay at the resort and enjoy a game of golf, the swimming pool(s), or to just relax. You can also feel free to do your own exploring. Area attractions are listed on our convention attraction page.
I am flying to convention, what is the best airport to use & how do I get to the hotel from there?
You will want to fly into the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) this is a 32 mile drive from the hotel. We have provided transportation suggestions on our travel page so that you can secure those prior to arriving to convention.
