The Consultant Visit

Chapter visitation is a chapter services program of the Fraternity that provides a trained consultant visit once or twice a year. Consultants do performance assessments, offer orientation and training of chapter officers, provide access to Fraternity resources, assist with planning and execution of programs and, generally, are the front-line representatives of the Fraternity to active members.

Most visits consist of a pre-assessment, using the Pyramid Chapter Self-Assessment online. From this input, the consultant can determine a chapter’s strengths and challenges and design a visit to help. Each 2-4 day visit should include meetings with most chapter officers, the campus Greek life adviser and contact with alumni leaders.

A post-visit report is provided to document the visit and outline ideas for improvement. An online post-visit survey is offered to allow chapters to give feedback on the quality and usefulness of the visit – and to allow the Fraternity to make improvements or adjustments for future visits.

Chapter visits are done throughout the academic year. Chapters desiring a visit at a specific time should contact the HQ as far in advance as possible. Otherwise, visits will be scheduled by regions and according to chapter need.
