National Council Nomination Form

Please complete the form below to nominate an individual or express your interest in one of our Council volunteer positions. This form can be used for Council membership and also for recommendations to national committees. For more information contact us at HQ@triangle.org.

Nominations for Council are due by May 1 of each year.  Committee recommendations can be received year-round.

Volunteer Council Positions are as follows:

Councilman – Alumni Councilmen are considered annually. Alumni Councilmen should be experienced volunteers for active or alumni chapters, such as alumni chapter officers, chapter advisory committee members, or someone who serves or has served on a national committee or as a national officer. Terms are one year and those elected should not also serve as an executive officer in their active or alumni chapter during their term/s on Council.

Active (undergraduate) Councilman – The Active Councilman must be undergraduates during their year of service. The best candidates have served as an executive officer in their chapter and have attended a national program such as Convention, LTW or Scobie Leadership School. Terms are one year and those elected should not also serve as an executive officer in their active or alumni chapter during their term/s on Council. Ideally, the Active Councilman will attend the summer Convention or Scobie School.

National Committee Member – Several standing and special committees and task forces assist the Council to do its work and/or provides vehicles to bring Council and TEF or TBHC boards together for topics of interest. Committee members should be able to bring a significant amount of knowledge or perspective to the committee to help members make better decisions. Current standing committees are: Approved Courses, Awards, Communications, Educational Programs, Finance, Growth, Nominating, Ritual, and Standards. Terms and size are at the discretion of the committee chairs.
