Several Triangle chapters each year look for live in graduate advisors/coaches to serve the undergraduate group and help them to succeed. The Triangle Graduate Counselor is a 20-25 hour per week live-in graduate student whose primary responsibilities include a mix of student development work with coaching in chapter operations, recruitment, risk management education and overall chapter culture. At most locations there also are some housing management responsibilities.
Position postings will require approval by chapter housing boards and signed agreement by them to provide the required room, board and parking. Salary, benefits and graduate tuition assistance vary per campus location. The ideal candidate served his/her chapter as an executive officer and has a proven track record of leadership and management of chapter operations. Priority will be given to those pursuing degrees in student development, post-secondary education, education leadership, student personnel, or higher education administration. Triangle members are preferred, but all applications will be reviewed.

This full-time position is based in Ames, IA at the new Iowa State Triangle chapter house and provides room, board, parking, in addition to salary. The successful candidate will be trained at Triangle HQ in chapter services and support programs and will serve chapters in the mid-west region. Periodic travel is required as well as regular contact with HQ and the alumni advisory team at Iowa State.
Ideal candidates will have served on a national fraternity/sorority staff or will have been an executive officer of their undergraduate chapter. Some graduate work may be allowed, but only if it does not interfere with the full-time responsibilities of the position. Graduate stipend is negotiable for the right candidate.
