PRESS RELEASE
Plainfield, IN – Triangle Fraternity’s National Council is proud to announce the selection of Morgan Brickley, M.Ed., as its tenth Executive Director, effective July 1, 2025. Brickley currently serves as Triangle’s Senior Director of Leadership Programs, where she leads the organization’s educational strategy, national events, staff development, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Brickley will succeed Tom Pennington, who announced his retirement earlier this year after nearly a decade of dedicated service as Executive Director. Her selection follows an extensive search and interview process by the search committee of Triangle National Council. Under Brickley’s leadership, Triangle is poised to expand its membership base, deepen its membership programming, and continue to excel as America’s premiere men’s STEM social fraternity.
“With Morgan’s appointment, Triangle gains a forward-thinking and mission-driven leader with a deep understanding of our values and vision,” said National President Ryan Sunyak tol10. “Morgan’s ability to build authentic relationships, develop strong teams, and translate strategy into action makes her the right person to lead Triangle in today’s evolving landscape.”
During her time on staff, Brickley has made a measurable impact on the Fraternity’s operations and programming. Her accomplishments include modernizing Triangle’s accreditation and new member education programs, expanded and formalized online volunteer training, and elevating national events like the Leadership & Training Weekend (LTW) and the Herbert Scobie Leadership School (HSLS). She has also led strategic assessment efforts, interfraternal partnerships, and initiatives to unify the Fraternity’s internal culture.
“I’m honored and energized by the opportunity to lead Triangle,” said Brickley. “This organization develops ethical STEM leaders who go on to change the world, and I’ve seen firsthand the transformative impact Triangle has on its members. I believe we’re poised to launch from good to great, and I’m committed to driving that momentum forward. I look forward to working alongside our students, alumni, volunteers, and partners to write the next great chapter in Triangle’s story.”
Outgoing Executive Director Tom Pennington expressed his confidence in the transition. “Morgan brings a remarkable combination of heart, intellect, and vision to the role. Her leadership during her time on staff has already helped move Triangle forward, and I have no doubt she will continue to strengthen the organization and support its members in powerful ways.”
Brickley brings nearly two decades of experience across the nonprofit, higher education, and corporate sectors, with a focus on leadership development, student engagement, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Triangle in 2022, she was on staff at Delta Zeta Sorority and Northern Illinois University (NIU) where she oversaw fraternity/sorority operations, created immersive leadership programs, and advised high-performing student communities.
As an undergraduate, Brickley joined Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, where she held multiple leadership roles and began her alumna volunteer service shortly after graduation. Since then, she has served Theta in local, district, and national capacities, and currently serves as a College District Director and member of the Fraternity’s College Committee. In addition to her work with Theta, Brickley has supported other fraternal organizations, including Delta Gamma, Phi Kappa Psi, and currently serves on the Alumni and Volunteer Corporation (AVC) for Sigma Phi Epsilon at NIU.
An Ohio native, Brickley holds a master’s degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville and dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and French from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
More information is forthcoming about the leadership transition. Please join Triangle Fraternity in applauding Morgan as she takes point and leads Triangle into its next chapter.
