In August, the National Council approved new initiatives designed to educate and inform members with the goal to improve the health and safety of our members and guests. Download a copy of the letter from National President Joe Cerrato HERE.
The following items were approved by Council:
1. FHSI Training – Chapters are expected to hold an FHSI training session each semester or twice per year. Modules include alcohol/substances, hazing, sexual misconduct and mental health.
2. The presence of alcohol products above 15% alcohol by volume (ABV) is prohibited on any chapter/organization premises or at any event, except when served by a licensed and insured third-party vendor.
3. Active and new members will be expected to complete an online risk education program (Tightrope) by December 31, 2019, and all new members pledged thereafter. Additional online education will be provided annually to deliver risk management policies to all members.
